Keeping our family warm

Unfortunately, there's lot of folks coming home in hoodies with a thin blanket. If you have spare blankets, warm sweaters or coats, and are coming home in the next few days, please bring what you have for those who don't. Any extra usable tents are great as well. We've still got snow on site even though we're there and keeping people from getting hypothermia is critical. Please be prepared to never see these items again as they will probably go home with who ever uses them at the gathering or be passed on to someone else.

  1. I am in SE Portland, I have lots of extra sweaters AND blankets! But I can't come up to the gathering until the 1st. If anyone is passing through on their way up, I'd love to send them up to the cold family at Snow Camp!

  3. Why are member of your "family" peeing on produce in our local market and then gathering the discarded produce after it's been thrown out. This can not be denied, there are many witnesses. This behavior is not endearing the local people to you at all.

  4. I live in the town where the above incident supposedly happened although I haven't verified it. I am forced to ask, though, if there were so many witnesses, why didn't anyone stop them? Don't let it discourage the light.....welcome home family!

  5. Just like in any group of 10,000-20,000 people, there will be a few idiots. Most people who come to the gatherings are kind, considerate, generous people as I can attest to. It's always sad for a community of any kind to have their reputation sullied by a few bad eggs.

  6. this is this years rumor.. we have graduated from spitting to urinating in the rumor mill..

i had someone in northwest washington make this claim about the supposed rainbows, supposedly gathering near their town 3 weeks ago..

sad how gullible and afraid many are. so willing to except a tall tale as fact and so unwilling to see who we are for themselves..

    luv~n~light family..

  7. Its too bad the poster of the incident didn't give any specifics. Regardles if that indeed did happen to a store I would have tried to shop there. I usually wait till the last town to get my supplies as it helps the local economy.

Sometimes writing reveals more about a person than what they care to admit. Travel safe and see you in washington.

  9. Oh THIS rumor again? I find this waaaaaay hard to believe. So, someone saw them do this... and didn't do anything, didn't call the police... and then later saw them digging in the dumpster, getting it out? Don't you find this a wee bit unlikely. We buy our produce in LARGE bulk quantities. We feed thousands, three meals a day.

We don't feed the people by picking a few potatoes or something out of a dumpster.

  10. If anyone has any supplies that they want to drop off, call me at (503) 564-8716 and I can meet you on one of the runs I make in. I live in Castle Rock but we can meet in Longview or Portland if the supplies are worth the investment. It sounds like they need survival stuff.

  11. Re: Produce. Voted the rumor most likely to separate the gullible from the logical.

Does anyone have an update on the pros/cons of dropping up into Washington from The Dalles or Hood River? Hood River closer, but toll bridge? possibly no pedestrian traffic across?

  12. hi family..i use to live in both hoodriver and later the dallas and yup the carson washington area also so the crossing in hoodriver is a very very narrow toll brigde the charge a buck for most vechiles and more for rvs and what not the dallas bridge is wider and doesnt cost and the milage from hoodriver to the dallas is 20 miles yes the hoodriver brigde is closer to the gathering if you cross in the dallas and take the washington side down you pass alot of smaller towns that would love your bussiness ..and its a sweet ride with great view..down hwy 14..

  14. Anonymous, thank you so much for the inside information :) * I will pass it on. Fortune says!: Bail off the bus at The Dalles. I love sweet views, small towns, and endeavor to be as toll-free as possible in our toll-happy dimension. Blessings onya!
